Release 1.4.2 specialisation build

This interim build contains improved validation and flattening functionality:

vastly improved validation, with code-based error messages matching ADL 1.5 draft
improved flattening logic
ordering of children of multiply-valued attributes over inheritance

Release 1.4.1

This release of the Archetype Workbench brings two major changes. The first is the introduction of the .adls file type, for persisting ADL source files. The formalism is the same as for existing .adl files, i.e. openEHR ADL, but for specialised archetypes, the content has changed to include only differences, i.e. further constraints with respect to parent archetypes. The new file type will become the source file type for archetypes in the future, but for now, .adl files are not touched by the tool.

The second major change is tha the tool now operates as a repository-wide compiler, and can compile all archetypes in one operation. See the Release Notes for details.

Overview

The ADL Workbench is a visual front-end for the openEHR reference ADL parser. It can be used for compiling, viewing and batch testing archetypes created for any reference model, and in any number of languages. The tool is based on the ADL 1.4 language specification, the Archetype Object Model (AOM) specification, and the openEHR archetype Profile specification.

The two parts of the tool are the Compiler and the Tester, which are available from the tabs on the right-hand side of the application.
